 MyPoints: Surf for prizes - Do you surf a lot? You might as well get rewarded for it! This popular program awards you "Points" for activities like visiting Web sites, clicking on ad banners, reading E-mail and more. The Points you earn are redeemable for merchandise and services from merchants like The Sharper Image, Marriott, Hyatt, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Spiegel, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Olive Garden and Red Lobster.
- Win a Bose Lifestyle 901 Music System - Take a shot a winning a state-of-the-art stereo system capable of bringing you "the excitement and impact of a live performance into your home to a greater extent than ever before." Sweepstakes is open to all persons age 18 and older who are legal residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). Contest deadline is Dec. 31, 1998.
 Win a Amazon.com gift certificate - Read the rules and fill out the form to enter this drawing for a $250 Amazon.com gift certificate from Bangkok.com. Contest deadline is Feb. 13, 1999. You may enter as many times as you wish, although automatically generated entries are not allowed. (International availability).
- Contests from The TV Channel - The TV Channel is giving away a variety of prizes in weekly contests. Prizes include golf clubs, T-shirts, gold hats, videos and more. To enter, click on the "Contests and Free Stuff" link in the site's left column). The TV Channel, by the way, is a cool site in its own right and offers streaming video that you can view without browser plugins.
- Cool Site of the Year Awards Sweepstakes - The Web's original awards site is offering a sweepstakes that offers a grand prize of a weekend for two in New York. Other prizes include a Ibanez guitar, signed by Lee Ritenour. 100 other winners will receive a package full of music CDs. You may enter once per day. (U.S. only). Deadline is Feb. 1, 1999.
- Get paid to surf the Web - If you haven't signed up for CyberGold, you really need to. They'll link you up with advertisers that pay you to read ads and explore the Web. There are many similar services on the Web that claim to pay you money, but CyberGold is one of the few that delivers. As long as you're going to be surfing around the Web, you might as well get paid for it, right?
- Trivia Blitz - Trivia Blitz is an addictive, Java-based game consisting of ever-changing multiple-choice questions. If you score 1,500 points or more in a 7-question round, you become eligible to win $25. Click here to play Trivia Blitz.
- Win a Palm III Organizer - Use "Recommend-It" to suggest The Free Site to a friend and you'll be automatically entered in a contest to win one of 3Com's hot new Palm III Organizer digital assistants. - Big Bang: Get paid to surf - There are a number of sites around that claim to pay you for surfing the Web. Big Bang is one of a handful that is trustworthy and reliable. You won't get rich, but you will earn some money (and frequent flyer miles, as well). It's worth checking out.
- Drive Away Sweepstakes - Fill out the short survey to take your chance at winning your choice of a 1999 Ford Explorer XL truck, a 1999 Ford Mustang GT convertible, a 1999 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle or $20,000 in cash. - Gourmet Scavenger Hunt - In this weekly contest, you visit several Web sites of gourmet food companies. If you
can answer a question about each company, you're eligible to win free samples from each of the
sites you visited. A new hunt is posted every Monday, and a random drawing is held every Friday. (U.S. only).
- $10,000 Downey Savings Cash Quiz - Fill out the form and you'll have a chance to win $10,000, courtesy of Downey Savings. If you answer the "5 Cash Pursuit" questions, you'll win five more five chances at the prize.
- Martha Stewart Sweepstakes - This site offers a new sweepstakes every month. To enter, just complete the guestbook form and questionnaire. Then, you may sign the guestbook daily and be automatically re-entered in the sweepstakes. Prizes include kitchen appliances, a shopping spree and a magazine subscription.
- Disney's Family Fantasy Sweepstakes - You may enter daily at this site to take a shot at winning $110,000 in prizes. You must register at the site to enter the contest (it's free). The top three prizes are: a Buick Century, a vacation cruise and a $2,500.00 shopping spree at The Disney Store Online. Prizes will be awarded monthly through December, 1998.
- Cool Freebie Links Contest - Fill out the form to enter this contest for a one month's supply of QX Auto Lubricants. One winner is chosen by random drawing from correct answers on every 15th of each month.
- duJour.com - A wildly popular, dynamic site with tons of puzzles, including MondoTriva, Riddle duJour and the Labyrinth and opportunities to win lots of prizes. This is a constantly-updated that changes practically all of its content every day.
- GNET's $100,000 contest - GNET, an excellent Web "starting point," is offering a $100,000 contest. Every time you visit one of this site's 15 topic "channels" you're entered into GNET's grand prize drawing. Every time you log in, you'll receive 50 "GNET Points." And if you win, I want a cut (just kidding!).
- CyberPulse Advisory Panel - You can win any one of several $50 cash prizes for participating in this panel. Just sign up and, as as a member of the panel, you'll be asked to give your opinions on various subjects. Topics include: the Internet, new products, social issues, fashion, entertainment, etc. You'll receive the questions and send your responses by E-mail about once a week.
- The Free Money $ite - Head over to this site for information about services that will pay you for anything from reading ads to completing surveys.
- Cyber Dialogue - Participate in online research and get paid for it. These guys claim to pay "typically" $30 for one-hour for in-person focus groups and $5 for E-mail polls.
- Esearch - This is a market research data collection company that's looking for Internet users who are willing to participate in on-line surveys. If you participate in their quarterly survey, you have a chance to win $100.
- Gamesville - At this cool site, you not only can get paid (for playing multiplayer games like online Bingo), but you can have fun doing it. We've had a number of visitors who've reported winning $5, $10 or $20 here.
